Philosophy and Mission
We believe that elementary education is a means of encouraging children to become persons who derive satisfaction from and make contributions to society. We feel that it is our responsibility to develop and enhance basic educational skills, sound moral values, and positive self-concepts, and work attitudes. It is our desire to give each child an awareness of, and appreciation for, a changing world of scientific, cultural, and economic advances. We feel that each child is a unique individual and we must provide for individual differences in order to help each child develop to his or her fullest potential. In doing so, we hope to develop a well-adjusted, functionally efficient, healthy, and happy citizen.
Central Park Elementary believes that ALL students can learn and develop emotionally, academically, and personally in a safe, positive school setting. Central Park has a commitment to maximizing the educational successes of all students and to bridge the learning and achievement gaps between our students that exist for a variety of reasons.
